BlackSnow: Volume I is a cross-pollination of fine art and couture by Micah (Blacklight) Lee and Opie Snow. In this single evening art event, painted and stitched canvas will cavort alongside cotton, tweed and leather. Walls of large-scale figurative oil paintings are backdrop to live models clad in the dark dreams of their makers. Hand constructed, these wearable art pieces will contribute a living, moving sculptural component to the installation of which they are a part. Explored through these varied mediums are neo-archetypes with an animalistic bent; a joining of metaphor and the concrete manifestation of new mythology.
